Your Journey is Complete my friend!!

Our hearts are broken yet we rejoice for you are with our Heavenly Father and we will celebrate your life. My prayers are for the surrounding family and friends. Of which there are many (of both) You had your quiver full and your children had, had theirs and your grandchildren were working on theirs. You've lived a very full life. One thing you taught me as a man of God was to accept others no matter what/who they were. I've heard many times about the young man who walked into a full church no shoes clothing torn and filthy had obviously not showered in quiet some time. He couldn't find a seat so he strutted right to the front of the church and sat on the floor. The congregation was stone silent. An elderly gentleman finally arose from his seat, everyone thought he was going to scorn the young man and escort him out of the Church. Instead he sat beside the young man and waited for the Pastor to continue his sermon. The tears began to flow in that house of God as people realized their attitudes were wrong. Seeing it put into practice was another thing entirely. And you had done it several times in our church. Guys showing up in complete goth/punk outfits to guys showing up in dresses and chains as everyone else stared at them you embraced and welcomed them. You also taught me how to be an excellent husband and father. The way you exampled that to us was awesome. I hope I can be half the man you were. Hanging out with you and your wife till wee hours of the night playing card games and hearing great stories was always a blast.

I love you much Grandpa Courtney and my heart grieves for your family. I send my love and prayers. If there is anything we can do please don't hesitate to ask guys!! But I celebrate your life and am excited and looking forward to seeing you again. Embrace your heavenly Father as he welcomes you with open arms into Heaven.

Thank you for everything you will be in my heart always!
