Home Sweet Home

OK just a quick update to let you all know that we are in fact HOME!! Were just chilling out right now, if you want to come for a visit give us a call and we'll see how the girls are doing.

The nurse came in and said I've talked to Dr. Almas and she won't be in till later in the afternoon but she said if you want to go you can. We both jumped up and I took all the gifts and flowers to the Van and then came back for Mommy and Baby.

We stopped at Walmart quick and headed home, some friends from outta town stopped by and are hanging out fun fun :D

Our friends all took off and were just chillin out, such a blessing to have good friends. They blessed us with Lunch from Pizza Hut and there's enough left overs for us to pick at it for the rest of the night. Tristan was holding Olivia again and getting her a blanket. He's enjoying her and when she was sitting on the couch he wanted to get changed into a sleeper like hers and cuddle beside her. He brought his cars blanket and covered her up cause she was cold. Its cool, I pray that he will treasure her always! We're making a point to include him in everything because we don't want him to get jealous or anything. So far so good. Mommy is going to spend some quality time with him after the next feeding/changing he'll like that!

Day 2!

Hi All!
Thanks for the comments we appreciate them all Christy can hardly wait to get home to be welcomed and congratulated by her blogging buddies and family members! Thank you to all the visitors today you blessed us!

Mommy and baby both did Great last night Olivia slept pretty much through the night one hick-up is about it but I won't go into to many details, long story short Christy had to get some assistance which she hates doing especially when the nurses who already do so much are swamped like they were. But it was all sorted and taken care of.

Olivia slept great cuddled with Mommy for a little bit and all was well. Throughout the day there was a constant stream of visitors which was awesome especially for my sake ha ha I had a migraine and it was killin me I stayed till 1pm and brought Tristan home for a nap, we both slept for almost 4hrs so he must have been tired as well. My migraine cooled to a headache and I went back to the hospital, but it was pretty bad I felt pretty nauseous.

Tonight I hung out for the rest of the night and tucked Olivia and Mommy in for bed at about 10pm they were both pooped. Christy and I went for a nice little walk through the halls and just chilled out it was a nice night with our daughter. Tristan hung out with Nana and Papa, which I have to say have been a HUGE blessing for Christy and I we appreciate them SOOOO Very much! Nana is already spoiling her new girl, been shopping twice today both times with an abundance of goodies and clothes!! Sure blesses our socks off.

He was pretty excited Nana and Papa took him shopping and bought sister something and he came running in wanting to give it to her..

Olivia Grace Colborne!!!

My BEAUTIFUL daughter blessed us with her coming at 9:09pm She was 9lbs 11.5Oz and 22inches long. She's got strawberry blond hair maybe darker, we'll see after her bath. She's gorgeous though!!

My wife is the most incredible woman EVER. The epidural seemed to not really work this time with Tristan there was almost nothing for pressure until "Go" time with Olivia there was pressure almost all night so ya I can't believe how well she did. The pressure started getting really really bad, and the nurse checked her and she was 6.5cm's and then the pressure got REALLY REALLY bad and about 5mins later or less she was 9.5cm's It was really incredible how fast it happened. The birth took about 2mins honestly, its on video. 3 really big pushes and there she was.

A Big thanks to Mom Dad and Ruth, Dr.Almas and the Nurses!! Huge Blessing thank you thank you!

Quick update: Christy wants Visitors, so don't be shy!!

She Got her Drugs lol

Wow what a trooper I'm SO proud of her she went FOREVER without anything, couple Demerol's last night and that was it, the Contractions obviously started getting a bit worse and the pain a lot worse but she pushed through. The hospital has been a MAD HOUSE literally. They had to medi-vac someone to Vancouver so Christy sorta got put on the back-burner till about 6:30 then she got her glorious epidermal and finally chucked her cookies (had been feeling like it since about 2:30 3:00 o'clock. Now she's basking in the drugs and only feeling slight pressure. She's gonna catch a couple mins maybe an hour of Zzzz's and then they're gonna move things right along.

At current she's just over 6cm's and rounding and the baby is +1

Just a shout out to Mike, Moe Mark Leah and Ryan. Watching my boy!! HUGE Blessing guys REALLY really appreciate it!!

Quick Update

I Dropped by Mike and Moe's to see Tristan and have lunch so I thought I would quickly update you guys..

Were in the hospital LOTS of progress and Dr. Almas decided to break her water at 10:30 she was 1cm left on her Cervix and VERY soft and I think she said 4cm dialated. She's still feeling sick and contractions are still happening so everything is still progressing. She's having a bath and trying to relax so here I am. but I am heading back to the Hos now that Tristan is sleeping.

Quick Update

I Dropped by Mike and Moe's to see Tristan and have lunch so I thought I would quickly update you guys..

9:30AM Were going back to the Hospital.

So here's the scoop, We slept last night the contractions were constant but Christy slept thats the important thing. Her nauseous-ness has turned into full blown puking and me being the wuss that I am can't help her. Seems that Tristan (stayed at Aunty Ruth's) is having sympathy puke's for mommy. Thankfully he made it to the bathroom... REALLY Sorry guys I promise he wasn't sick when he left!. Were heading back to the hospital, to be gelled again I'm assuming however with the progress thats been happening I don't know if they are going to Gel her so I guess we'll see. She's relaxing right now in the tub and then were going to head down so again Thank you for keeping her in your prayers I, we really appreciate it!!

12:14AM Off the the Hospital 1:41 Home

We thought, possibly that her water broke. Seems it was just some mucus, well a lot I guess? I don't know these sorta things. Anyways... we were going to go but the nurses said to come. So we did. Now its 1:41AM and were going back to bed. She's feeling a bit nauseous and I think she chucked her cookies when we got home. I can't help with that cause then we'll both be puking :( I did last time with Tristan and had to go get fresh air after the third heave ho... Yuck..

Anyways this is crazy fun exciting I couldn't even sleep, before we left I just started to sorta fall asleep and I was dreaming of the slugs from "Flushed Away" they were singing to me, then Christy says "Oh Oh Hun I think my water just broke" Ha ha

So she got another shot of Demerol and were going to try to get some sleep.. Thanks for all the prayers guys we appreciate it!

OK Here's an Update!

So were back from the hospital sorry for putting everyone on alarm, here's the latest news she's progressed about 2.5cm's on her cervix and the baby is dropping, she dilating but not quite ready. They gave her a shot of Demerol and she's already not making any sense when she talks (It's Great) Were actually REALLY REALLY happy it didn't happen right now, I know that sounds weird but their were 3 other girls in there when we were in. All came in within about 20mins of each other, one or maybe two got sent home not sure and one delivered a baby girl. Everyone in our room was crying (except me :P) it was cool, I'll admit I was a bit emotional sitting next to my darling wife as she was having her contractions. She's a trooper I'm proud of her. Anyways, the reason we were happy is cause we got put into Delivery Room 4, which is basically a storage closet with a bed. So yah we called Joni to tell her that she's "Most Likely" the winner of the baby poll. She laughed and said that Olivia isn't ready her nails aren't done! I like that funny stuff she'll come out when she's all glamored up HAHA good stuff. Anyways there you go 3 posts in one day.. I think I'll post a link to on my wife's blog cause I don't want to type it twice!

Finally I'm Done!!

OK the day has finally arrived, I am officially done work until June 4th or possibly November... Depending on some "things" at work. I may never go back to CGI. I might just look for a new job OR if my business picks up enough during my time off then I'll just keep doing that. Anyways on to more important news. My darling wife whom I love ever so much. Will be in the hospital tomorrow getting "gel'd" so we should see our new baby any time now. I'm so excited I could pee Ooooops... But seriously its going to be loads of fun and we can't wait. We've been eagerly anticipating the arrival of our new baby and were OK with it being either sex. We've been told a few times that its a girl, but were prepared and more then happy with whatever it is. Olivia Grace or Zachariah Daniel. I know a lot of people are riding on it being a girl and so are we.. At least my Credit Card and Bank Account thinks so anyways. But like I said, either way and were gonna be happy. Yes even me :P Whatever the sex, its a precious gift on loan from God, and we'll do our best to honor that and raise our kids up in the way that they should go!! Thank you everyone for your prayers covering my family, we appreciate them all. I'll try to be diligent in posting news and pics of the baby each night while my wife is in the hospital. We love you all and your a blessing to us..

I guess were day to day now!

So time is winding down for my wife. She's getting anxious nervous and excited all at the same time! She thought that last night was possibly the night, was probably just "gas" ha ha I guess we'll see could be a little midget coming in the next couple hours? Or any day now, either way were stoked. I think we've finally made up our minds on a name. If its a girl (which were pretty sure it is) her name will be Olivia Grace, if its a boy, his name will be Zak Daniel or Zachariah, so we'll see what happens. I'm counting the days though, its tough cause I've already in my heart given up on work cause I'm taking 4months off, maybe more. With the raises going south (for all of us) we've sorta got this mentality at work right now too, it really sucks. The truth of the matter is that I've been spending a lot more time with my family and particularly with my son, not that we didn't before but it seems to be all I'm doing lately, and I've REALLY enjoyed it. We were running around being silly all last night dancing and making Mommy laugh. He really is an amazing kid so happy, and so excited to being having a baby in the house, he wants to hold her like Daddy holds him. I know he's going to be protective too cause we were wrestling and I said lets tickle Mommy and we started and it was cool till Mommy said "Stop" and he grabbed my face and was like "No Daddy, Leave my Mommy alone" :D I've been teaching him to not hit girls ever so I hope he sticks to that cause its one of those things that I'm really strict on. We protect girls, we don't' hit them. He'll be a great big brother though I know it. Anyways as the final days/hours wind down we can't wait for the new addition to our family! Any day now, so please keep my wife in your prayers. Thanks guys!

Crazy Crazy

So work is CRAZY right now I'm only here till the 12th or depending on Olivia could be earlier or later we'll see :D

I've got this project to do at work right now installing and setting up PDA's I have over 100 to do in less then two weeks, as I'm the "resident" PDA expert. It takes roughly 1hr and 15mins to set one up from nothing with everything they need to work in the plant. I've already done a pile of them and needless to say I'm sick of seeing them already... So I thought I'd make you guys look at them :P

I guess its not all bad seeing as I now have 2 outta the 3 PDA's for my personal use, I have both Dell's (the ones on the end) Work paid for them and I can take them home or whatever I want. They bought them so that I can learn how to use them inside and out... I guess I've done that. But you can always learn more so I continue to play with them. Also I've finally convinced them to get me a Blackberry I'm getting the 8703e I'd prefer something else but they wouldn't go for it. The only reason I'm getting one is because the BIGWIGS all of the upper management guys are the only ones that have them and we can't very well be testing problems and finding solutions on those, I have to fix it and get it back to them ASAP So I'll have my own to hose and fix as I please :P It's basically an over glorified PDA (personal digital assistant) with a phone and better internet capabilities.

So as most of you have been reading on Christy' blog were going to be having our baby soon!! I'm UBER Excited! We still haven't decided on a middle name yet though which is weird but to be honest I don't know if we've really been thinking about one. Is it weird if you don't have a middle name, who said you have to have one anyways.. not that we won't give her one but maybe?? who knows. Anyways I've got a few things to do this weekend to get ready, setup the crib and get some stuff outta the shed and cleaned up for mommy and baby. I've been telling Christy that she's been over doing it but she never listens to me... Staying up all night on the phone or the computer nerding it out.. She's been staying up later then me which is a HUGE change for us usually I'm coming to bed an hour or so after her.. I was in bed 2.5 hours before her last nite :P just as an idea..

Anyways were all getting excited for the new addition to our family, Christy has again stuck true to her word and not complaining about being pregnant even though she's VERY sore this time She's a trooper. I'm really proud of her. This pregnancy has been a lot different then with Tristan. She's gonna be a great Mommy all over again, I love her heart, her attitude and her excitement. I'm really stoked for having a girl a little Christy runnin around fartin up a storm :P A princess for my Queen!!

Yum Yum Sushi Time!!

Tomorrow I have my "Performance Review" yipppee there's only one thing I want MO'MONEY But thats a whole post in itself...

The great thing about the performance review is that my supervisor takes us out for lunch, for a "private" meeting and I get to pick the restraunt. So we'll be out on the companies dime. If there's one food I love to eat and not pay for its Chinese!! I'm a HUGE sushi fan which is wierd cause I don't like fish lol (Although my taste buds have seemed to change and I can eat some fish) We went out to this place in North Van a few years ago... OMG to die for. We were visiting Tommy boy and he and a friend took us for lunch to this place and said "Chris if you like sushi this is the place to eat" so I said sure we ordered a huge platter with everything on it, it was amazing. Anyways I just found out my supervisor likes Sushi as well so I'm sold were doing Sushi for lunch tomorrow... I'll have me a nice bowl of soup and a Yummy platter of Sushi!!

I've Rediscovered A Lost Love

I used to love reading, for some reason I stopped almost all together. The only thing I was reading in intervals, to be completely honest was my Bible. But I've rediscovered a lost love and I can't believe I've let it lay buried in the closet for so long. I've got a million "excuses" but only one sticks. When Christy and I moved into our new home we threw away our bookshelves (they were old and ratty) so we left our books packed away for far to long. *Side note* Sam and I share a passion in Wrestling, I know a lot of you are going to be like wrestling's so fake blah blah, but its not about that... anyways thats a whole different post. A while back (Nov 13, 2005) Eddie Guerrero past away, the great thing was that he was a very popular wrestler one of the most popular and he was a Passionate man of God. Anyways Sam bought me Eddie's auto-biography (Cheating Death & Stealing Life) and I just had had had to read it. I could barely put it down, great book for those of you who haven't read it I suggest doing so!! Anyways it has rekindled my love for books and I've read that and already dived into another one. "Fakes or Followers" another great book I suggest reading if you haven't. I even went out and bought a new bookshelf!! Anyways the whole purpose of this post is, I'm buying another book. My wife is gonna kill me cause were supposed to be saving money ha-ha but I couldn't resist its normally $100+ but I got it for $44.04 and free shipping from amazon.ca

J R R Tolkien' Lord of the Rings; As it was supposed to be released. A single-volumed Trilogy, in hard cover. Originally it was his intention to release this in one print but the cost of printing books was astronomical then and couldn't be done so they printed the 3 individually. I'm SO SO SO excited. I know this is gonna be like "Chris what were you thinking" but... I haven't read it before, I started reading it online just browsing and I couldn't stop so I knew I had to order it so I've been doing some digging and found the one that I wanted!




Anyways I seriously can't wait. I've been talking to Tom about it and told him why I hadn't read it, I was worried that having seen the movies first I would be disappointed in them and I couldn't handle that as they are definitely in my top 10 favorite movies. He assured me that it only adds to the beauty of the book. So I'm super excited I almost want to blaze through "Fakes and Followers" to start Lord of the Rings. It won't be here for about a week and half though, cause I took advantage of the "Free" shipping :D

So ya just a quick mention my favorite author is Frank Peretti, I've read all of his book except maybe two. My favorite was the Oath, I couldn't put it down. I loved it...

OK so I have to say Thanks to Tommy and to my Wife for hooking me up with the book, otherwise I'll be hung.

Ahh Happy New Year?

I trust all is well with everyone and you had a Great New Year!! My family didn't do much infact I think the outlaws were up later then Christy and I were :P I was VERY sick from Thursday till actually today. So I didn' t do much of anything.

We started potty training Tristan he's a funny dude, this morning he woke up with a DRY diaper, told Mommy that he had to pee ran to the bathroom proceded to undress himself and then he let her fly just stood there and pee'd his heart out! Which is great cause Christy's been teachin him to pee sitting.. I've shown him the standing technique and the cool bubbles :P So he was pretty thrilled about that. He's a smart lad and is and has been ready for awhile now, we've just been waiting for Mommy, its hard for me to teach him cause I'm at work for 12hrs a day so he only sees me at night and weekends. Kinda pointless to only teach at night, but now Mommy is more the ready she's doing it and I'm helping with as much as I can. I cheer him on we do a little dance and celebrate after he goes potty. My little guy is growing up :( I'm getting old haha

Merry Christmas Y'all

Well things are finally starting to slow down. This weekend was a blast now that Tristan is getting older Christmas actually means something to him. We are trying to teach him what its really about sharing the birth of our Lord and teaching him as much about it as we can. We wanted to not put very much emphasis on the presents and it seemed to be working but truthfully being an only child, with a sibling on the way he was quite spoiled. Funny thing though he didn't get much for toys at all. I almost feel bad. He did great in the begining but near the end he just got more and more excited, by the time we were web-camming with my mom to open her pressies from her and Dad he was rippin through them.. My mom was encouraging him though. He did use his manners though. We'll continue to teach him the real meaning of Christmas.


I'm back at work, cool thing though is that our new team leader said not to work to hard so I'm doing just that slack city. I've got some stuff to take care of on the servers changing tapes and making sure the backups are running properly. Monitoring a few things but I'm gonna just try to relax as much as possible :P

Ummm Hello STARBUCKS!!

So I may as well go down to the local, yes thats right I said LOCAL Starbucks and sign my pay check over. I plan on living there! It has been open for 4 glorious days. Here's the catch... I haven't even had one drink yet. My wife went down with Ross last night to do a Starbucks run before they're show, I was so excited for my Venti Caramel Frap with extra caramel, but unfortanately I didn't get one :( I guess it was really busy and my wife wasn't really paying attention or thought maybe they just mixed it differently here I don't know.. It's not your fault honey BUT you still owe me one :)

Oh I will get my drink, I'm gonna head there straight away after work!!

The Truth!

OK so I know you've all been razin me about having a girl. The truth is I couldn't be more thrilled, I know I say that "God wouldn't do that too me, he loves me to much" but he would and well it would seem like he did. I'm stoked about it, for real! The truth is that it scares the crap out of me, I know what guys want I know what they're like. Everyone keeps saying that's where my job comes into play if I raise her in the way she should go then all will be good... You see I'm probably one of the most protective people you'll ever meet. For those of you dear to my heart, you know all to well what I am talking about. I want to destroy boys that date my "sisters" none of them are ever good enough. How much more so would I be towards my own daughter. Even with my son I want to protect him, this one day we were at the park and he ran up to a group of kids and tried to play with them. They all ignored him like he wasn't there, granted he's only two years old and probably couldn't have kept up with them but the look on his face :( I wanted to bury those kids in the park right there. I have a special relationship with my boy, but if someone did that to my little girl... Someone was to call her names, or break her heart, I don't think I could handle it. I can tell ya right now my head is sprouting gray hairs all over it as I type this. God give me grace and show me how to do this cause this is a whole new world for me...

Ok so this weekend, I'm not doing anything Friday/Saturday and Sunday other then going to church. I'm Soooooo tired :P I haven't had a day off since we moved into the new house, things have been crAzy busy. So I'm gonna kick back take off my shoes and relax for 3 days. Gonna sleep till n00n lounge around in my comfy clothes and not do a thing. Except for maybe beat my kid up hehe. Maybe I'll take a nap too. Buy a six pack watch some movies, eat some pizza whatever. I don't care as long as I'm relaxed and rejuvinated for next week. So for those of you that read my blog. Don't phone me to do anything unless your comin over to lounge with me :P and I'll see ya on Sunday morning, and thats about it!
